OUR VISION

This organization was formed based upon my life experience of being a teen mom and watching my mother suffer as a victim of domestic violence. As a teen mom, I was determined to graduate high school with my classmates and not be a statistic. I refused to be yet another teen mom to drop out of high school or continue the cycle of being a victim of domestic violence. Women Empowering Women for the Next Generation (WEW, Inc.) was founded in February 2005 by Cynthia McCarter Williams. She created the organization based on her own life experience as a teen mom and witnessing her mother suffer from domestic violence. As a teen mother, Cynthia was determined to graduate high school with her classmates and not become another statistic. She refused to drop out of school or continue the cycle of domestic violence. Cynthia's determination to succeed led her to gain knowledge and work experience that motivated her to help other young single mothers who were frustrated and angry about their situations.

Cynthia's personal dedication and leadership experience in Human Resources, Community Outreach, Office Management, and as a realtor, has afforded her the opportunities to help families. WEW, Inc., offers a variety of services to families including safe nights, meeting essential needs, life and job skills classes, empowerment classes, and community outreach giveaways. In addition, they offer room and home transformation for families with the desire to change the trajectory of their life. Their goal is to rebuild the foundation of a person's life and help navigate them through the barriers that prevent them from living life to their full potential.

We are committed to helping people. Each of our team members and volunteers is amazing in their own right, but together they are what makes WEW, Inc. a diverse, inclusive, fun, and rewarding place to give their time and talents. The key is a shared vision of the mission, which is to provide services, and resources to help a person in their personal growth, to become self-sufficient in every area of their life.

And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: Thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
