Women Empowering Women For The Next Generation Ministries ®
Women Empowering Women for the Next Generation (WEW, Inc.) was founded in February 2005 by Cynthia McCarter Williams. She created the organization based on her own life experience as a teen mom and witnessing her mother suffer from domestic violence. As a teen mother, Cynthia was determined to graduate high school with her classmates and not become another statistic. She refused to drop out of school. Cynthia's determination to succeed led her to gain knowledge and work experience that motivated her to help other young single mothers who were frustrated and angry about their situations.
Cynthia's personal dedication and leadership experience in Human Resources, Community Outreach, Office Management, and as a realtor, has afforded her the opportunities to help families. WEW, Inc., offers a variety of services to families including safe nights, meeting essential needs, life and job skills classes, empowerment classes, and community outreach giveaways. Their goal is to rebuild the foundation of a person's life and help navigate them through the barriers that prevent them from living life to their full potential.
Our mission is to educate, provide resources and services that help individuals and communities grow and become self-sufficient. We are committed to supporting under-resourced communities, women, children, and those impacted by domestic violence or homelessness.
"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." – Helen Keller
And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: Thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
- Isaiah 58:12
WEW, Inc.'s vision is to provide a spiritual, mental, physical, and social support system that will encourage people to impact the next generation and influence the world around them. They strive to foster healthy, stable, and progressing communities.
